Pastor Jamie Hamrick

Jamie has been the senior minister of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church since 2003 and has been in the ministry for more than ten years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of  North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in history and a minor in sociology. He received his Master’s in Divinity from Erskine theological Seminary. Since Jamie’s arrival, average attendance has grown from 200 to well over 600 weekly. Jamie is married to his high school sweetheart, Mishael, with whom he has three sons, Trey, Cade, and Heath.

Associate Pastor Mark Muckler

Mark became RMUMC’s Associate Pastor during the summer of 2008. Mark has been serving in Christian ministry for the past 9 years in the Charlotte and Durham areas. He holds an undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University in Communications and recently graduated from Duke Divinity school with a Masters in Divinity degree. Mark has interests in spiritual formation, retreat and pastoral ministries, and enjoys nature photography, hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife, Jill, and three children, Caleb, Graceson, and Lily.

Music Director Gary Miller

Pianist Kim Miller

Gary became RMUMC pianist in 1974 at the age of 14. Several years later, he became the organist. In 1984, he became the Choir Director. Several years later, he became the Director of Music. He directs the Chancel Choir, The Adoration Ringers, Praise Team/Band, and KidsChoir. 

Kim became RMUMC pianist in 1984. She assists Gary with the various Music Ministry Programs and she directs The Angel Choir.  During the summer of 2005, Kim became the webmaster of RMUMC's first website.  She maintained that website until the new website was obtained in the summer of 2008.  She created the logos for Café Grace, Music Ministry, Wonderful Wednesdays, KidsLink, Outreach, etc.

Director of Children’s Ministries Donna Jones

Donna became RMUMC's full-time Director of Children’s Ministries in June 2006,  Her role includes responsibility for the development of children's Sunday school, spiritual growth partner with the parents, fellowship opportunities, special events and other activities related to children from nursery age through 5th grade. She is married to husband Stacey and is the proud mom to Matthew, 22, and Kirby, 17. Matthew and his wife, Amanda, recently made Stacey and Donna the proud grandparents of baby girl Kadynce Faye.

Secretary Carla Key 

Carla is Rocky Mount's full-time secretary.  Along with her many office duties, she also creates the weekly bulletins, slide show announcements, and keeps the event calendar up-to-date.  Also, she works several hours each month as the editor of the church's monthly newsletter. She has one son, Seth.
