At Rocky Mount UMC we are committed to sharing the love and presence of Christ with those both near and far. Some of the ways in which we reach out in missions  are:

LOCAL

American Red Cross - Host one or two Blood Drives per year

Good Samaritan Fund - Provide financial assistance to local residents

Respite -  Provide activities for handicapped children

Bible Instruction - Finanical Support to the Iredell-Statesville School System

5th Street Ministries -  Provide various types of donations

Mooresville Christian Mission-Each month supply donations of a certain food item
(listed in the weekly bulletin)

Mooresville Soup Kitchen-Supply food items and Provide Volunteers

Good Samaritan Ministry

The PURPOSE of the Good Samaritan Ministry  is to assist immediate church members and neighbors living in the Troutman and Mooresville areas
by providing emergency assistance
with the payment for utilities, rent and medication.

Assistance Request Procedures:

Requests are accepted on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays
from 9:00 am until 11:00 am

Applicant must bring these items:
Social Security Card
Photo ID (valid driver's license, government issed ID)
Proof of current residence
Original statement or bill needed for consideration

Approved Assistance will be paid directly to the
utility company, landlord, or pharmacy.
